Below are the measurable objectives for participants.
Participants will be able to:
- Demonstrate advocacy skills for health education at a local and/or state level
- Identify marketing and branding strategies for successful program dissemination
- Compare outreach strategies and techniques
- Replicate successful teaching techniques in a variety of teaching areas
- Apply appropriate evaluations tools to meet a variety of evaluation needs
Objectives
Conference objectives are to provide education relevant to health education in the following presentation tracks:
- Executive / Administrative
- Educator
- Marketer / Fund Developer
- Technology
Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) Continuing Education Units (CEUs)
CHES CEU credits for this conference are based on the following:
- CEUs are based on the 60-minute contact hour.
- For every hour of health education sessions attended, attendee receives 1 CEU. Time for breaks, meals and social events and exhibits do NOT count.
Based on the conference agenda, there are a total 11.50 CEUs possible per participant. With the inclusion of the pre-conference workshop, National Standards for Health Education, there are an additional 4 CHES CEUs available. There are a total 15.5 CHES credits available with the conference and pre-conference workshop.
If interested in receiving CHES CEU credits, please register online for these credits. The fee is $30.00. AAHE is the issuing agen t for CEUs.
Professional Learning Units (PLU) / Staff Development Units (SDU)
For 10 hours of programming, attendees will earn 1 PLU/SDU. To ensure you get this credit, please be sure to sign in at the information table noting your intention to attend certain sessions and corresponding amount of time.
There is no fee for receiving this credit. Please download the Approval Form. This form must be completed, signed and presented at the conference in order to secure credit. HealthMPowers is the issuing agent for PLU/SDUs.
