It's Time!  Depression Program Series

Filmed interviews form the cornerstone of the programs in this series. Interactive experiences challenge stigma and build skills for positive connections. Versions in the series include a program focused on General Adult depression, a Staff Development Program for Educators and Other Adults Working with Youth and the latest in the series is a Peer Education Program for 8th –12th Grades. The adult program is available as a general inclusive program, Latino culture focus (in Spanish) and an African American version. School systems around the country have participated in the staff development program which focuses on classroom teachers’ skills to recognize potential mental health problems and apply strategies for positive connections and increased academic engagement of students. The peer education version is for health educators to train teen leaders to present to their peers. The peer program may also be taught by classroom teachers. Train-the-trainer sessions equip adults as trainers for each version in the series.
