The Community Leadership for Oral Health Award, provided by P&G Professional Oral Health, provides an opportunity for NAHEC members to demonstrate innovative oral health education to underserved children and partner with oral health providers to reduce oral health disparities in their community.
The 2008 Award Winner will earn national recognition for achievement along with 1000 toothbrushes and 2000 sample size tubes of toothpaste from P&G to distribute to children through their education programs.
Award Criteria |
- Description of the member’s oral health education program including evaluation outcomes.
- Description of the population of children served by the programs: demonstration of disparity and number of children served.
- Description of partnership with oral health provider:
- How are education programs linked to services of the provider?
- How does the provider reduce disparity through their service?

About the Awards Panel
The awards panel consists of an oral health providers, 2 NAHEC member representatives and a representative from Procter & Gamble. The awards will be based on the criteria noted above.
