Part of the collective mission for those who provide health education programs is to ensure that legislators and public officials are aware of what we do and how health education plays a vital role in health prevention. Similarly, it is important for NAHEC members to be aware of how legislation that impacts them. The role of the Advocacy Committee is to oversee NAHEC advocacy plan, to track and communicate issues and legislation of importance to the field, and to develop plans and strategies for advocacy at a national level. This task force follows the Operating Code, as approved in October 2008 and reports to the Board of Directors.
The Task Force invites you to join us for our Day on the Hill.
